The main aim of taking part in one of our rambles is for you to enjoy yourself.  Every ramble we organise will have a number of volunteers on hand to make sure that you are safe and comfortable at all times.

 

Potential Risks.

 

To ensure that we operate our rambles in as safe a way as possible we have developed a Statement of Risk document in which we outline the potential hazards and risks of taking part in an organised mobility scooter ramble. I would ask that you read that document before making a decision on whether or not you would like to become a member and take part in our rambles.

FTDR Health and Safety.

Here at FTDR we take our health and safety commitments to members and volunteers seriously and have recently revised our policies in line with our experience and current trends. Before becoming a member of FTDR we ask all applicants, on our application or renewal forms, to read and digest the contents of our FTDR Health & Safety Policy document and then indicate that they have done so in the appropriate tick box on the online form.

Public Liability insurance.

 

It is requested that members bringing their own scooters and power chairs to rambles have adequate insurance cover and provide a photocopy of their policy as they are not covered by the group’s insurance policy whilst using their own equipment.  All that is required for rambles is Public Liability insurance.
